Chachi Plays for Kids

Speaking of logos, I got an email from Chachi over at Chachi Says (@chachisays for you tweeps) talking about a top secret project he was working on which will be helping kids. Oh, and the reason he sent me this email is because he needed a logo. Only later did I find out the full details and what a great cause it really is.

Chachi was looking for a way to give back to the community and he decided to use his love of gaming to do just that. After getting in touch with some pretty amazing Pittsburghers (*cough cough* Ginny Montanez, *cough cough* Mike Woycheck, *cough cough* Mike & Missy Sorg)  he developed a simple enough idea that will make a huge impact on some sick kids who are stuck in the hospital. For every $100 he raises, he will play one hour of video games at an event on February 11th at Ninja Entertainment in Downtown Pittsburgh from 7pm-7am. His goal is to reach at least $2400 which breaks down to 24 hours of nothing but gaming, except for potty and food breaks (come on, let the man pee!). All of this money will then be donated to Make Room For Kids, an official extension of the Austin’s Playroom Project at the Mario Lemieux Foundation, which works to help outfit the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh with video games and video game systems that the kids can play while they’re busy getting better.

If you have $10, $20, $30 or more, please make a donation to Chachi Plays for Kids. It’s a great way to start off the year in a spirit of giving, and who better to benefit than sick children? Did I mention it’s for sick kids? GO DONATE!
